Access Online@UT
Report a problem- For assistance with documents, quizzes, and other course materials, contact your instructor for the course.
- For assistance with your login, browser configuration, access from home, and other technical questions, please contact OIT Helpdesk at (865) 974-9900 or visit them at Aconda Court.
- Remember to include the following information when you submit your trouble ticket:
- Your Name and your instructor’s name
- The course title and section number if possible
- Detailed explanation of the problem
- Time of day and where you were accessing Online@UT (from home, dorm, Library)

Download suggested plug-insOnline@UT sites may require that your browser be enabled with specific browser plug-ins. Here you will find links to download all the plug-ins that Blackboard recommends you have installed on your system. Visit the Suggested Plug-ins for Online@UT Page.
Access Online@UT via my America Online accountAOL users may experience problems connecting to Online@UT. Instead of using the AOL browser, please do the following:
- Log in to AOL as you normally would
- Minimize the AOL browser window
- Launch either Internet Explorer or Netscape separate from AOL
- Connect to http://online.utk.edu
- Login using your NetID and password
Facebook and iPhone Applications InstructionsVisit online.utk.edu and click on the ‘Login to Online@UT’ button located in the upper right hand corner. Enter your NetID and Password. On the My Institution page you will see a Tools module located on the left hand side. Click on the Blackboard Learn link. Here you will see the following options:
- Add the Blackboard Learn application to your Facebook account
- Place check mark next to “I agree to the Terms of Use”
- Click on Continue
- You will be directed to log on to Facebook and install the application
- Add the Blackboard Learn application to your iPhone
- First download and install the Blackboard Learn app for your iPhone from the iTunes store
- Once downloaded and installed, click on the Add the Blackboard Learn application to your iPhone link
- On your iPhone, run the Blackboard Learn application
- Enter the authorization code from Blackboard to complete your registration

Store files onlineAll UT students, faculty, and staff are provided with a free UNIX account that includes 50 megabytes of storage space. The quota can be raised to 100 megabytes for an annual fee of $25. - To gather information that is too sensitive for open class discussion

- Is the instructor allowing multiple attempts?
