Routing UT Email to Another Email Account
Do you primarily use an email account other than the one provided by UT? For example, do you use Yahoo, AOL, or MSN? If so, then you might be missing important university and class related announcements. UT now relies on university email accounts as a primary method of communication, and it is your responsibility to read those messages!
You may set your mail to route from the OIT Account Management page. This process will have to be repeated if you change email addresses in the future. Again, it is your responsibility to make necessary changes.
Route your UT email via OIT Account Management
- Open an Internet browser and type in the URL address:
http://accounts.utk.edu/uact
- Go to Set Email Routing and log in with your Net ID and
Password
- Enter the forwarding information and check your spelling
carefully
- Click on Apply
- If the new address is correct on the confirming page, click on OK
- Click on Logout
- Make sure you have the correct forwarding address
- Your Online@UT email account uses your UT email account
- For additional information about email accounts, go to the OIT’s web site and click on email
