Create an iTunes U Link
Step by step instructions with screenshots for instructor to create an iTunes Link for their Online@UT course.Quick Steps:
- Open your course in Online@UT, as described in steps 1 and 2 on the previous page. On the left-side
navigation bar, click on any content section (or create a new one) where you would like to create a
link to iTunes U. Links can be created as many times as you would like, in different content areas.
- Click on the small link marked "EDIT VIEW" on the right side of the screen.
- On the right side of the screen, open the drop-down menu where the text "Learning Unit" appears, and
select "iTunes U Link".
Click the "Go" button right next to this drop-down menu.
- Wait for the next screen to load, and then fill out the "iTunes U Link Information" fields.
You can name the link "Go to iTunes U" or whatever you like. It is recommended that you write "This link will open the iTunes application on your computer and take you to UTK on iTunes U. Access that area to listen, view, and download the podcasts for this course.", or something to that effect, in the "Instructions" field. If you want the link to be active immediately, make sure the "Start date" and "End date" under Options are not checked. Click "Submit".
- You will see a confirmation screen indicating that the link has been created. Click "OK".
- You will now see the content section containing the newly created link. Click on the new link to launch
iTunes U*.
